Description
This 2 Ingredient Air Fryer Donut recipe is the ultimate quick-fix treat. With just self-rising flour and Greek yogurt, you can create fluffy, golden donuts in minutes—no yeast or deep frying required. The air fryer gives them a lightly crisp exterior while keeping the inside soft and tender. Perfect for a quick breakfast, snack, or dessert, these donuts can be customized with your favorite toppings or glazes.
Ingredients
1 cup self-rising flour
1 cup plain Greek yogurt
Optional toppings:
Cinnamon sugar, powdered sugar, or glaze
Instructions
1️⃣ In a medium bowl, combine the self-rising flour and Greek yogurt. Mix until a dough forms, then knead lightly on a floured surface for 1 to 2 minutes until smooth.
2️⃣ Divide the dough into 4 equal portions. Roll each portion into a log and shape into a donut by connecting the ends. Alternatively, flatten the dough and use a round cutter to shape.
3️⃣ Preheat the air fryer to 350°F (175°C) for 2 to 3 minutes. Lightly spray the air fryer basket with oil to prevent sticking.
4️⃣ Place the donuts in the basket in a single layer, making sure they don’t touch. Air fry for 6 to 8 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and cooked through.
5️⃣ Remove the donuts and let them cool slightly before adding your choice of toppings such as cinnamon sugar or glaze.
Notes
Self-rising flour is essential for the right texture and lift. If you don’t have it, you can make your own by combining 1 cup of all-purpose flour with 1 ½ teaspoons baking powder and ¼ teaspoon salt. Avoid over-kneading the dough to keep the donuts soft. For added flavor, mix a pinch of cinnamon or vanilla extract into the dough before shaping.
