Ingredients

Scale

For the Shrimp:

  • 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon smoked paprika
  • ¼ cup cornstarch (for a crispy coating)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

For the Bang Bang Sauce:

  • ½ cup mayonnaise (or Greek yogurt for a lighter option)
  • ¼ cup sweet chili sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sriracha (adjust for spice preference)
  • 1 teaspoon honey
  • 1 teaspoon lime juice

For the Pasta:

  • 12 oz spaghetti or linguine
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • ½ cup heavy cream (or half-and-half for a lighter option)
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley or green onions (for garnish)

Instructions

1️⃣ Cook the Pasta:

  • Boil spaghetti or linguine according to package instructions until al dente.
  • Drain and set aside.

2️⃣ Prepare the Bang Bang Sauce:

  • In a small bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, sriracha, honey, and lime juice until smooth.
  • Set aside.

3️⃣ Season and Cook the Shrimp:

  • Pat the shrimp dry and season with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and smoked paprika.
  • Lightly coat the shrimp with cornstarch for extra crispiness.
  • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Cook shrimp for 2-3 minutes per side, until golden and fully cooked.
  • Remove from heat and toss in half of the Bang Bang sauce.

4️⃣ Make the Creamy Pasta Sauce:

  • In the same skillet, melt butter and sauté garlic for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  • Add red pepper flakes (if using) and stir in heavy cream and Parmesan cheese.
  • Simmer for 2-3 minutes, then add the cooked pasta and toss to coat.

5️⃣ Assemble and Serve:

  • Top the pasta with Bang Bang shrimp and drizzle the remaining sauce over the dish.
  • Garnish with fresh parsley or green onions.
  • Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

  • Make it healthier: Swap mayo for Greek yogurt and use zucchini noodles or whole wheat pasta.
  • Want it spicier? Add extra sriracha or a pinch of cayenne pepper to the sauce.
  • Extra crunch? Sprinkle with panko breadcrumbs or crushed peanuts before serving.
  • Storage: Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 days. Reheat gently with a splash of cream or broth.
