Ingredients
2 lbs (900g) sirloin steak, cut into bite-sized cubes
1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
1/4 cup beef broth
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
3 garlic cloves, minced
1 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
2 tablespoons butter, cut into small pieces
Fresh parsley, chopped for garnish (optional)
Instructions
Pat the steak cubes dry with paper towels to remove any excess moisture. This helps them sear better and absorb flavor.
In a small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, garlic, onion powder, smoked paprika, and black pepper.
Place the steak bites in the crockpot and pour the marinade over them, stirring gently to coat all pieces evenly.
Add the butter pieces on top of the steak for extra flavor and tenderness.
Cover and cook on low for 4–5 hours or on high for 2–3 hours, until the steak bites are fork-tender and infused with flavor.
Garnish with fresh parsley before serving. These bites are perfect served over creamy mashed potatoes, fluffy rice, or even as a savory appetizer.
Notes
For a slightly thicker sauce, remove the lid during the last 30 minutes of cooking or transfer some of the juices to a saucepan and reduce them separately. You can also sear the steak pieces in a hot skillet before adding them to the crockpot for a deeper, caramelized flavor.
