Description
This delicious oreo delight balls is a fantastic dish that’s sure to impress. Made with 36 oreo cookies, 1 (8-ounce) package cream cheese, and white and/or milk baking chocolate, it combines great flavors and textures for a memorable meal.
Ingredients
Scale
- 36 OREO cookies
- 1 (8-ounce) package cream cheese, softened
- 8 ounces white and/or milk baking chocolate
Instructions
- Begin by lining a baking sheet with parchment paper. In a blender or food processor, pulse the OREO cookies (with filling) into fine crumbs. Alternatively, you can place the OREO cookies in a zip-top bag and crush them using a rolling pin.
- In a large bowl, combine the OREO crumbs and softened cream cheese using an electric mixer. If the mixture isn’t coming together well, use your hands to mix it thoroughly.
- Using a small cookie scoop, portion the mixture onto the prepared baking sheet. Roll each portion into a ball using your hands. Freeze the balls for 10 to 15 minutes, or until they are slightly firm but not too cold.
- In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the chocolate in the microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring in between each interval until the chocolate is smooth.
- Dip each OREO ball into the melted chocolate using a fork. Tap the fork against the edge of the bowl to achieve a smooth finish. Use a toothpick to help slide the dipped ball back onto the baking sheet. Before the chocolate hardens, sprinkle your favorite toppings over the balls. Allow the chocolate to harden completely.
- Store the finished OREO balls in the refrigerator until you are ready to serve them.
