Description
These Air Fryer Garlic Parmesan Fries are the perfect crispy, golden snack or side dish made healthier in the air fryer. Tossed with garlic, parsley, and freshly grated Parmesan cheese, these fries deliver bold flavor with every bite. They’re easy to prepare, require minimal oil, and come out crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside—just like fries should be.
Ingredients
3 large russet potatoes, peeled (optional) and cut into thin fries
1 ½ tbsp olive oil
1 tsp garlic powder
½ tsp salt (or to taste)
½ tsp black pepper
¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 tbsp chopped fresh parsley (optional)
Instructions
1️⃣ Prep the potatoes: Wash and cut the potatoes into thin, even-sized fries. For extra crispiness, soak the cut potatoes in cold water for at least 30 minutes. Drain and pat dry thoroughly with paper towels.
2️⃣ Season the fries: In a large bowl, toss the dried potatoes with olive oil, garlic powder, salt, and pepper until evenly coated.
3️⃣ Preheat the air fryer: Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for 3–5 minutes.
4️⃣ Air fry the potatoes: Place the fries in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Cook in batches if needed. Air fry for 15–20 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through, until fries are golden brown and crispy.
5️⃣ Add Parmesan and parsley: Immediately after cooking, transfer the fries to a bowl and toss with grated Parmesan cheese and chopped parsley while still hot.
6️⃣ Serve: Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce or as a flavorful side dish.
Notes
Soaking the fries helps remove starch, which leads to crispier results.
Avoid crowding the air fryer basket—cook in batches for even crispiness.
For extra flavor, toss with truffle oil instead of olive oil before serving.
