Description
Bang Bang Chicken Skewers are a spicy, creamy, and irresistible take on grilled chicken. Featuring juicy chicken pieces threaded onto skewers and grilled to perfection, they’re topped with a signature Bang Bang sauce—a combination of mayo, sweet chili sauce, and sriracha. Perfect for summer cookouts, appetizers, or served over rice for a complete meal.
Ingredients
For the chicken:
2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
1 tablespoon olive oil
Salt and pepper to taste
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon paprika
Wooden or metal skewers
For the Bang Bang sauce:
¼ cup mayonnaise
2 tablespoons sweet chili sauce
1 tablespoon sriracha (adjust to taste)
1 teaspoon honey (optional for added sweetness)
Instructions
1 In a bowl, toss the chicken pieces with olive oil, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika until evenly coated.
2 Thread the seasoned chicken onto skewers, spacing the pieces slightly for even cooking.
3 Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat. Grill the skewers for about 4-5 minutes per side, or until the chicken is fully cooked and has a nice char.
4 While the chicken cooks, mix the mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, sriracha, and honey (if using) in a small bowl until smooth and creamy.
5 Once the chicken skewers are done, brush them generously with the Bang Bang sauce or serve the sauce on the side for dipping.
Notes
Soak wooden skewers in water for at least 30 minutes before grilling to prevent burning. For extra flavor, marinate the chicken in half of the Bang Bang sauce for 30 minutes before skewering and grilling. This recipe can also be adapted for the oven or air fryer.
