Description
This quick and easy air fryer bread recipe delivers a soft, fluffy loaf with a golden crust — all in just 30 minutes. Perfect for when you want homemade bread without the long proofing times or heating up the oven. The air fryer bakes it evenly and quickly, making it a convenient option for busy days or last-minute cravings.
Ingredients
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 tablespoon sugar
1 packet instant yeast (2¼ teaspoons)
½ teaspoon salt
¾ cup warm water (about 110°F)
1 tablespoon olive oil
Instructions
In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, instant yeast, and salt. Stir until well mixed.
Add warm water and olive oil to the dry ingredients. Mix until a sticky dough forms. Knead the dough by hand on a floured surface for about 5 to 6 minutes until it becomes smooth and elastic.
Shape the dough into a round or oval loaf, depending on the size of your air fryer basket. Place the shaped dough onto a piece of parchment paper.
Let the dough rest for 10 to 15 minutes in a warm place. While it rests, preheat your air fryer to 320°F.
Carefully place the dough with the parchment paper into the air fryer basket. Air fry for 15 to 18 minutes, or until the bread is golden brown and sounds hollow when tapped on the bottom.
Remove from the air fryer and allow the bread to cool slightly on a wire rack before slicing.
Notes
This bread is best enjoyed fresh but can be stored in an airtight container for up to two days. For added flavor, you can mix in herbs, cheese, or garlic powder before kneading. Whole wheat flour can be substituted for a heartier loaf, though you may need to add a touch more water.
