Cheddar-Stuffed Turkey BBQ Bacon Bombs

  • Author: Andrew Recipes

Description

Cheddar-Stuffed BBQ turkey Bacon Bombs are a bold, meaty treat packed with flavor in every bite. Made with seasoned ground beef wrapped around cubes of cheddar, then wrapped again in crispy bacon and glazed with barbecue sauce, these bombs are smoky, cheesy, and irresistibly juicy. Whether you’re serving them as appetizers or main-course indulgences, they’re a hit at cookouts, parties, or game day gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale

1 pound ground beef
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
½ teaspoon smoked paprika
Salt and black pepper to taste
4 ounces cheddar cheese, cut into ¾-inch cubes
10 to 12 slices of turkey bacon
½ cup barbecue sauce, plus extra for serving

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 400°F or preheat the grill to medium heat.

In a mixing bowl, season the ground beef with garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix until just combined.

Take a small handful of the beef mixture and flatten it into a patty in your palm. Place one cube of cheddar in the center and shape the beef around it to form a ball, sealing the cheese completely inside. Repeat until all the beef is used.

Wrap each beef ball with a slice of turkey bacon, tucking the ends underneath or securing with toothpicks if needed.

Place the turkey bacon-wrapped bombs on a wire rack set over a baking sheet if baking, or directly on the grill. Brush each bomb lightly with barbecue sauce.

Bake for 25 to 30 minutes or grill for about 20 minutes, turning and basting occasionally with more barbecue sauce, until the turkey bacon is crispy and the beef is cooked through.

Let rest for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

Use sharp cheddar for a more pronounced cheesy flavor, or try pepper jack for added spice.
Make sure the cheese is fully enclosed to avoid leakage during cooking.
These can be prepped ahead and refrigerated until ready to cook.
Serve with extra barbecue sauce on the side or over a bed of coleslaw for a full meal.
