Description
These cheesy chicken crescent rolls are a warm, comforting dish perfect for a quick dinner or party appetizer. Tender shredded chicken is mixed with creamy cheese and wrapped in soft, buttery crescent dough, then baked until golden and melty. It’s a simple yet satisfying recipe that’s always a crowd-pleaser.
Ingredients
2 cups cooked, shredded chicken
4 oz cream cheese, softened
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
½ teaspoon garlic powder
¼ teaspoon black pepper
Salt to taste
1 tablespoon chopped parsley (optional)
1 can refrigerated crescent roll dough
1 tablespoon melted butter for brushing
Instructions
1 Preheat your oven to 375°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
2 In a mixing bowl, combine the shredded chicken, cream cheese, cheddar cheese, garlic powder, black pepper, and a pinch of salt. Mix until everything is well incorporated.
3 Unroll the crescent dough and separate into individual triangles. Spoon a generous amount of the chicken mixture onto the wide end of each triangle.
4 Roll the dough from the wide end to the narrow end, enclosing the filling, and place the rolls on the prepared baking sheet with the seam side down.
5 Brush the tops with melted butter for a golden finish.
6 Bake in the preheated oven for 12 to 15 minutes or until the crescent rolls are puffed and golden brown.
7 Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before serving. Garnish with chopped parsley if desired.
Notes
This recipe is a great way to use up leftover rotisserie chicken. You can add extras like cooked bacon, green onions, or diced jalapeños to the filling for added flavor. These rolls are best served warm, but they can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days and reheated in the oven or air fryer for a crisp texture.
