For the sandwiches:

  • 4 slices sourdough or white bread
  • Butter, for spreading
  • ¼ cup pizza sauce (adjust to taste)
  • 4 slices Canadian bacon
  • 4 pineapple rings, patted dry
  • 4 sandwich slices Cheddar cheese

Instructions

1️⃣ Preheat the skillet:

Heat a griddle or skillet over medium heat.

2️⃣ Butter the bread:

Spread a thin layer of butter on one side of each slice of bread.

3️⃣ Assemble the sandwich:

Place one slice of bread, butter side down, onto the heated griddle.

Spread about 2 tablespoons of pizza sauce evenly over the bread.

Layer 2 slices of Canadian bacon, 2 pineapple rings, and 2 slices of Cheddar cheese on top.

Place another slice of bread on top, butter side up.

4️⃣ Grill the sandwich:

Cook for 3-4 minutes until the bottom slice is golden brown and crispy.

Carefully flip the sandwich over and cook for another 3-4 minutes until the other side is golden and the cheese is melted.

5️⃣ Repeat & serve:

Remove from the skillet and place on a cutting board.

Repeat the process for the second sandwich.

Let the sandwiches cool slightly, then cut in half if desired.

6️⃣ Enjoy!

Serve warm and savor the delicious balance of sweet pineapple, savory bacon, tangy pizza sauce, and gooey melted cheese.
