Ingredients
For the Rolls:
1 tube refrigerated pizza dough (or homemade dough if you prefer)
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning (optional, for extra flavor)
For the Garlic Butter Sauce:
1/4 cup unsalted butter (melted)
2 cloves garlic (minced)
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 tablespoon fresh parsley (chopped; optional)
Optional Toppings:
Pepperoni slices
Red pepper flakes
Fresh basil
Instructions
Preheat Your Oven
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it to prevent sticking.
Roll Out the Dough
Unroll the pizza dough onto a lightly floured surface. Use a rolling pin to gently stretch the dough into a rectangle about 12×8 inches, ensuring it’s evenly rolled out for consistent baking.
Add the Cheese
Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella evenly over the dough, leaving a small border around the edges. Follow with the grated Parmesan cheese, and add Italian seasoning if you’re using it for extra flavor.
Roll and Slice
Starting from one of the long sides of the dough, tightly roll it into a log. Once rolled, use a sharp knife to slice the dough into 1-inch pieces. Arrange the rolls cut-side up on the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 1 inch apart for even baking.
Bake the Rolls
Bake the pizza rolls in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the rolls are golden brown and the cheese inside is bubbling and melted.
Make the Garlic Butter Sauce
While the rolls are baking, melt the butter in a small saucepan over low heat. Add the minced garlic and garlic powder, stirring for 1-2 minutes until fragrant. Remove from heat and stir in the chopped parsley (if using).
Finish and Serve
Once the rolls come out of the oven, brush them generously with the prepared garlic butter sauce, ensuring each roll is coated with that delicious garlicky goodness. Serve the rolls warm with marinara sauce or ranch dressing for dipping.
