  • Author: Andrew Recipes
  • Total Time: 35 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings 1x

Description

Tender, juicy garlic butter beef chops paired with creamy mashed potatoes—a simple yet comforting meal perfect for any night of the week!

Ingredients

Scale

For the Bee Chops:

  • 4 boneless beef chops
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • ½ tsp dried thyme
  • Salt and pepper to taste

For the Mashed Potatoes:

  • 4 large potatoes, peeled and chopped
  • ½ cup heavy cream
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp black pepper

Instructions

1️⃣ Boil the Potatoes:
Place the chopped potatoes in a pot of salted water. Bring to a boil and cook for 15-20 minutes, or until fork-tender.

2️⃣ Prepare the Beef Chops:
While the potatoes cook, season the beef chops with salt, pepper, and dried thyme.

3️⃣ Sear the Beef Chops:
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the beef chops and sear for 3-4 minutes per side, until golden brown.

4️⃣ Make the Garlic Butter:
Reduce the heat to medium, add butter and minced garlic to the skillet, and baste the bee chops for 1-2 minutes until fragrant. Remove from heat and let rest.

5️⃣ Mash the Potatoes:
Drain the cooked potatoes and mash with butter, heavy cream, salt, and pepper until smooth and creamy.

6️⃣ Serve & Enjoy:
Plate the beef chops alongside the mashed potatoes, drizzling any extra garlic butter from the pan over the top. Enjoy!

Notes

✔️ Extra Flavor Boost: Add a splash of chicken broth to the mashed potatoes for even more richness.
✔️ Make it Creamier: Use sour cream or cream cheese in the mashed potatoes for extra smoothness.
✔️ Crispier Beef Chops? After searing, finish them in the oven at 375°F (190°C) for 5-7 minutes.
✔️ Storage: Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
